Artist's Statement

        "February 1999, my girlfriend and I were traveling north on US 84 through Abiquiu, New Mexico searching for interesting subject matter to paint. We spotted this scene near town. I thought it was delicate and felt compelled to try to portray it. I didn't paint it until 2007."
