Artist's
Statement
"In the late summer of 2005, my landscape painter and stained glass sculptor friend Francis Boyle and I were on a photography trip searching for subject matter. Our day journey took us to northwestern New Mexico looking for trees and designs. At the top of a mountain east of Cuba, New Mexico on State Route 126 I found what I was looking for. I loved the way the light looked weaving itself through the tall trees. I couldn't resist it. I had to paint it."
